Robert Karcher

Vice President, Strategic Contracting Services

Robert Karcher serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Contracting Services for Acurity. He applies his 30 years of hospital operations and supply chain management experience to developing new and enhanced contract relationships for our contract portfolio.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Karcher was the supply chain executive at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where his 25-year career included supply chain management as well as administration of many support areas, including pharmacy, sterile processing, OR materials management, housekeeping, and clinical engineering. He served as supply chain executive during the five-year merger of the Mount Sinai and NYU systems, where he integrated contract portfolios, logistics, and information systems across the five-hospital IDN.

Mr. Karcher’s first post-graduate career was as an adjunct lecturer of English at CCNY. In 1976, he left teaching to begin his career in hospital supply chain operations at Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, where he first encountered our company as a representative to the Purchasing Committee.
